Following the Duchess North
Professor (and pilot!) Paul Shepson and our highly capable aircraft mechanic Brian Stirm are flying the Purdue ALAR (Airborne Laboratory for Atmospheric Research, a Beechcraft Duchess twin-piston aircraft) from West Lafayette, Indiana to Barrow, Alaska over the next couple days! You can follow their progress at http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N762JT. This morning they left Purdue University, fueled up in Minnesota, and are now headed toward Bismark, North Dakota!
